Here I am, running late on my picks, but I'll get them out there!
Jason "Mayhem" Miller vs. CB Dollaway
I'm going to have to go with Mayhem in this one. I know he looked horrible in his last fight, but I know he's a better fighter than that. I expect him to come out a lot more relaxed in this fight and control CB on the ground.
Stefan Struve vs. Lavar Johnson
All Struve has to do is bring the fight to the ground one time and it's over. You hear that Struve? Gameplan. Jiu Jitsu. Do not bang with Johnson.
Roy Nelson vs. Dave Herman
Herman is athletic and is getting better every fight. Nelson is slowly becoming the heavyweight division's punching bag and I don't expect tonight to be much different. Herman via footwork.
Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva
After seeing the weigh ins yesterday I almost changed my pick. Bigfoot is huge compared to Cain. Then I remembered that I think Cain is the best heavyweight in the UFC right now and think he'll wear Bigfoot down and beat him on the feet standing.
Junior Dos Santos vs. Frank Mir
I'm going against the grain here and picking Mir. If Mir comes in light and with anywhere near decent cardio I think he has what it takes to tap JDS. Here's to hoping that he's studying the intricacies of techniques that JDS hasn't even heard of yet.
All I want to be is rich, is that asking too much?

UFC on FOX: Diaz vs. Miller Fight Picks
Alright, it has been a while since I've put some fight picks down for everyone, but here I am! We have a really good card coming up, and here's what I think will happen.
Tony Ferguson vs. Michael Johnson
I'm pretty high on Tony Ferguson, and think he'll be near title contention soon, so this was a pretty easy pick for me. The guy is tough, and has some pretty nasty striking.
Rousimar Palhares vs. Alan Belcher
Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks
I've never really been part of the Josh Koscheck fan club, and have always felt he has been a bit overrated. He's definitely a tough guy who will take a fight on a moment's notice and I respect that, but being tough won't get him through Johny Hendricks. Hendricks hits very hard, and when Koscheck starts getting beat on the feet, he'll have trouble getting Hendricks down to the ground. Josh's best hope in this fight is that one of his overhand rights that I expect him to throw about 50 times actually lands.
Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller
Somehow, when I read about this fight, it seems as though Jim Miller is already being written off. I don't really get it as I think Miller is a bad matchup for Nate Diaz. Nate always struggles against strong wrestlers, and Miller fits that bill. On top of that, he has excellent brazillian jiu jitsu, and won't easily be taken by Diaz's submissions or sweeps. I expect Jim to control most of this fight, but I don't know if he can finish Diaz as he's as tough as they come.
I'm most surprised by Dana saying that if Diaz wins he gets a title shot, but if Miller wins he'll need a couple more wins to get that shot. Let's see here, Miller is 21-3 with wins over Guillard, Tibau, Bocek, Ludwig, and Danzig with his only loss in his last 9 fights being to the current champion. He also looked very good in that loss, and supposedly was sick.
Diaz is 15-7, losing 2 of his last 4, and while he looked very good beating down Cerrone, I don't see how he warrants a title shot and Miller doesn't.

UFC 144 Fight Picks!
It's almost time for UFC 144 so I'd better get my fight picks out there for you guys.
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Jake Shields
I'm going to have to go with Shields ok this one even if he has been less than impressive in the UFC so far. I like Akiyama, and think he'll do well at welterweight, but my gut is telling me Shields will be able to outgrapple Akiyama.
Cheick Kongo vs. Mark Hunt
This match up makes little sense as I don't think Hunt is in the same stratosphere as Kongo rankings wise. Easy pick here: Kongo.
Rampage vs. Ryan Bader
Neither fighter impresses me that much, and Rampage has already shown up overweight. If I have to pick I'm choosing Rampage, but I'm not super confident in it.
Frankie Edgar vs. Benson Henderson
I was originally going to choose Henderson due to his pressure, cardio, and wrestling ability, but then I thought a little more. Who has been able to use wrestling on Frankie? Gray Maynard, which was one time, and he struggled a lot with it. Edgar has amazing defensive wrestling and doesn't get tired. This, to me, means the fight will probably come down to striking which I give a large edge to Frankie. I think he surprises a lot of people and runs away with it.
